ChatGPT MAILA NURMI (1922 – 2008) is perhaps best remembered in Finland for her role in Ed Wood's cult film PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE (1959) and in the USA for her TV show THE VAMPIRA SHOW (1954). Starting in 1954, THE VAMPIRA SHOW became a success. Nurmi was nominated for an Emmy in 1954. VAMPIRA garnered numerous admirers and rose to the cream of Hollywood society: she was, among other things, a close friend of Elvis Presley, James Dean, and Marlon Brando.

Maija Nurmi has been buried at HOLLYWOOD FOREVER Cemetery in Los Angeles.
